Harrison Mkhize is a principle centred purpose driven multimedia personality. Known by his stage name Harrison, he is a South African musician, radio personality, television presenter, social media influencer and actor. Harrison gained widespread recognition as a contestant on SA Idols, The Mzansi Insider presenter search (Top 10), MTV Base VJ Search (Top 25) and the Presenter Search on 3(Top 5).
His passion for the media space formally introduced him to South Africa as a media personality in 2019 when he joined Gagasi FM as a radio personality. In 2022 he launched his music career when he released his EP ‘A Strangers love.’ it was in 2023 that he joined 5FM and ultimately moved from Durban to Johannesburg. Since his move to Johannesburg, Harry has grown as a Radio personality as he now hosts the Top40 on 5, been a guest presenter on MTV and MTVBase. This year he has been on 702 and The Playroom for interviews on his career and life experiences.
Early Life:
Harrison Mkhize, known affectionately as Harry Baby, was born and raised in
Durban, South Africa. He was raised by his single mother and grandmother. From a young age, Harrison developed a deep passion for entertainment, which eventually led him to pursue a career in the industry. He attended George Campbell Technical High School where he performed in multiple school productions and talent shows. Harrison holds Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Honours Degree in Social Justice ducation and suspended his Master’s degree to pursue his media career.
