Demi Lee Moore is a South African singer, songwriter and musician. Starting her music career at the age of 9, she sang throughout her school years and was a regular lead in school musicals and pantomimes. After school she decided to become an air hostess, but as fate would have it her love for music came first and she decided to sing full time by the age of 19. Demi Lee has been singing professionally for more than 5 years, performing at festivals, markets, corporate functions and many private shows.

She joined the Barnyard Theatre for several months, performing singing roles which included Marilyn Monroe, Patsy Cline, Janis Joplin and Amy Winehouse. Before Idols SA Demi Lee was already a household name with her Afrikaans song “Net ‘n Mens”, which still receives regular airplay on radio stations and the music video featured daily on KykNET. Demi Lee was nominated for Best Pop Album at the Ghoema Awards in 2013.

In 2014 Demi decided to try out for South African Idols Season X. She made a great first impression on all three judges with her version of the Mr. Big hit ‘To be with You’. By unanimous decision she made it through to the next round. After a hard working theatre week Demi made it into the Top 16 Live shows. After months of hard work Demi placed 7th with a tearful goodbye from the show but a bright future ahead making her mark firmly in the music industry.

After her adventure in SA Idols 2014, she was signed by Universal Music South Africa. She released her first debut single “Liefdes-Wen-Resep on the 30th of October 2015. Within the first day of release her song went straight to number 1 on the Afrikaans iTunes Charts and is a regular favourite on numerous radio stations countrywide.
She has just released her follow up single which has already charted at #1 on the iTunes Video Chart.

With 11 years vocal training, Demi is a beautiful, vibrant, versatile and fun performer, singing anything from English to Afrikaans. She is a solo artist that performs with a full 4-piece band and / or guitarist, bringing a feel-good vibe to every show.
