Daniel Jenkins is a Zimbabwean singer-songwriter, guitarist, composer and seasoned international performer known for his melodic acoustic sound, warm vocals and engaging live performances.
Born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe, Daniel developed his passion for music as a teenager after learning guitar from his father. He went on to perform in church and school bands before establishing himself professionally on Zimbabwe’s live music circuit.
Daniel released his first original single, “True,” in 2013, followed by songs including “Away,” “Never Too Late” and “City Streets.” “Never Too Late” became one of his early breakthrough releases, attracting significant online attention and helping establish him as an emerging Zimbabwean singer-songwriter.
International Career
Daniel’s career has taken him well beyond Zimbabwe.
He was selected to perform at Electric Vines in Cape Town, appearing on a line-up featuring some of South Africa’s leading artists, including Jeremy Loops, Prime Circle, Matthew Mole, GoodLuck, Gangs of Ballet, Just Jinjer, Jesse Clegg and Monark.
He subsequently secured an international performance residency on the Greek island of Ios, beginning a career that would see him perform extensively outside Zimbabwe.
Daniel later developed considerable experience within the international hospitality and cruise entertainment industries, performing as a singer, guitarist and bandleader at luxury hotels and aboard international cruise ships.
His career has included several years performing internationally with Seabourn, including work as a lead guitarist and professional musician.
