Dalin Oliver is a multi-award-winning South African comedian, corporate MC and sports broadcaster whose energetic, relatable and clean-cut style of comedy has taken him from Cape Town to stages around the world.
Born and raised in Retreat, Cape Town, Dalin initially pursued a very different career. A qualified Mathematics and History teacher, he traded the classroom for the microphone after discovering his passion for broadcasting and stand-up comedy. What began on Cape Town’s comedy circuit has developed into an international career spanning stand-up, radio, television, film, sports broadcasting and corporate entertainment.
Known for his warm personality, quick wit and highly relatable storytelling, Dalin draws inspiration from South African culture, family, sport, travel and everyday life. His accessible performance style enables him to connect with audiences across cultures and generations, making him particularly effective in the corporate environment.
Dalin has now performed more than 200 international shows across 10 countries and over 25 cities outside South Africa, with appearances across Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Canada and the Middle East.
His acclaimed one-man show 90 Day Comedian became a major international success, touring eight countries and 32 cities across more than 100 performances. The production won Best Weekly Comedy Show at Fringe World in Perth and a Standard Bank Bronze Ovation Award at South Africa’s National Arts Festival. It also earned Dalin nominations for Solo Show of the Year at the Savanna Comics’ Choice Comedy Awards.
In 2026, Dalin launched his latest show, Stuck in Dubai, inspired by the extraordinary real-life experience of being stranded in Dubai. The production earned him another National Arts Festival Ovation Award before embarking on an extensive South African and international tour. The show subsequently won the Jury Prize for Best Comedy Show at the Bitesize Festival in London and received a Funny Bones – Best Comedy Show nomination at Stockholm Fringe in Sweden.
Alongside comedy, Dalin has enjoyed an accomplished broadcasting career. He spent 10 years in commercial radio, including eight years on the primetime breakfast show at Good Hope FM, where his energetic sports reporting earned him multiple SA Radio Award nominations.
His passion for sport has also positioned him as a sought-after sports host and broadcaster. Dalin has worked across major sporting occasions including SA20, the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, Netball World Cup and Two Oceans Marathon, and has delivered live crossings for SABC Sport during the Tokyo Olympics. He is also the host of The Late Late Tackle, a sports entertainment format featuring the Springboks.
His screen credits include appearances across Comedy Central Africa, SABC, DStv, Showmax and Prime Video, while he also played a leading role in the South African action-comedy feature film Finders Keepers.
As a corporate MC, Dalin combines the discipline of a professional broadcaster with the spontaneity of a seasoned comedian. His corporate hosting experience includes engagements for major brands such as Mercedes-Benz, KLM, FNB, KFC, Woolworths, New Balance and Ogilvy.
