Che Cherry is a DJ and an extraordinary vocalist whose musical career started at teenager years. She opened for music legends such as Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Johnny Clegg, Mango Groove. She performed on the main stage of Oppi Koppi at the age of 14 and pursued her career internationally with a memorable performance in Egypt at the Cairo Jazz Club in 2006 with artists such as Fathy Salama (Grammy Award for Best Contemporary World Music Album and BBC Award for Youssou N’Dour’s album) and Mohamed El-Erkan (2014 Middle East Music Award for Best Band). She has more recently worked with international house music producers and released music on European label among which “Something More” has been released on a compilation that achieved the great milestone of outselling Cafe del Mar’s CDs in more than 5 countries.
