Carvin H Goldstone is an internationally acclaimed South African comedian, master of ceremonies and corporate facilitator, recognised for his intelligent, clean comedy, exceptional storytelling and remarkable ability to connect with diverse audiences.
Based in Durban, Carvin has built an impressive career spanning stand-up comedy, journalism, corporate entertainment and international touring. His distinctive comedic style combines observational humour, cultural commentary, true-life stories, impersonations and an impressive range of accents — all delivered without relying on profanity or vulgarity.
Carvin’s standing within the South African comedy industry was cemented in 2018 when he won two major Savanna Comics’ Choice Awards: Comic of the Year and the Flying Solo Award. In 2020, he added another significant accolade when he won the South African Comedy Award for Best Comedy Show.
His career has taken him well beyond South Africa. Carvin has performed to audiences across the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the Middle East, Mauritius, Zimbabwe and Southern Africa, with sold-out performances in cities including Dubai, Doha, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Manila. His international festival appearances have included the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Magners International Comedy Festival in Asia.
Carvin is also a highly accomplished corporate MC and entertainer, having hosted and performed for many leading South African and international organisations. His corporate client experience includes Sanlam, Liberty, Investec, FNB, Old Mutual, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, Vodacom, MTN, Audi and Toyota, amongst others.
Beyond comedy and MC work, Carvin develops and facilitates corporate team-building and wellness programmes and has worked within the areas of healthy workplaces, diversity and inclusion. His clean approach to comedy makes him particularly well suited to corporate environments where the audience may span different cultures, ages and professional backgrounds.
Before becoming widely recognised as a comedian, Carvin established himself as an accomplished broadcast journalist. He has received four Vodacom Journalist of the Year Awards, demonstrating another dimension to his abilities as a communicator and storyteller.
Carvin has also enjoyed a long association with the cruise entertainment industry, performing as a resident comedian aboard MSC cruise ships during their South African seasons. Several of his comedy productions have been professionally recorded, with comedy specials also appearing on Showmax.
Engaging, intelligent and highly adaptable, Carvin Goldstone offers clients considerably more than a traditional stand-up performance. Whether booked as a comedian, MC, facilitator or corporate entertainer, he brings extensive experience, strong audience engagement and a polished understanding of the corporate environment.
