Bucie, born Busisiwe Nolubabalo Nqwiliso on 10 March 1987 in Kimberley, Northern Cape, South Africa, is a South African singer and songwriter best known for her soulful voice and contributions to house music. She grew up in Mdantsane in the Eastern Cape, where she was raised by her grandmother and developed a strong foundation in music through church choir performances.

Bucie rose to prominence after collaborating with acclaimed house producer Black Coffee. Their 2009 hit song “Superman” became a major success and introduced her powerful, emotive vocals to a wide audience. The track played a significant role in establishing her as one of the leading female voices in South African house music.

Following her breakthrough, she released successful albums including Princess of House (2011) and Rebirth (2015).
