Based: Durban

BonganiUrban is a Durban-based radio personality, DJ, MC and presenter born in 1981 ePhatheni just outside Maritzburg in the KwaZulu-Natal Mid- lands. Bongani is one of the hottest radio jocks in the province. His love for radio was ignited after the legendary Bhodloza Nzimande visited his home when he was still young. Later he realised Bhodloza was on radio and it made Bongani want to pursuit being on air as a career.

Spontaneous and edgy, Bongani currently hosts East Coast Drive on East Coast Radio 3pm-6pm between Monday and Friday. As a presenter Mtolo is the host of the critically acclaimed webseries Running the streets with Bon- gani where he visits some of the hottestes places in Durban and speaks some of the country’s top celebs.

As an MC he has shared stages with the likes of Mariah Carey; French Montana; Robin thicke; AKA; Big Nuz and many more local acts.
