Ayanda Allie Paine is the outgoing Spokesperson for South Africa’s National Ministry of Transport and the incoming Media Relations Manager at the South African National Roads Agency Limited.!

While at the Transport Ministry, the Mandela Washington Fellow and Poynter Institute for Media Studies Fellow formed part of the Mail & Guardian’s Top 200 young South Africans to look out for in 2019.! !

Ayanda is also an accomplished Media and Communication Strategist, Programme Director and Debate Facilitator, with a wealth of experience across various platforms including online media, print, radio and television.!

Armed with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Science, an Honours Degree in Development Studies and almost two decades in the media industry, Ayanda’s versatility, eloquence, gravitas, intelligence and effervescent personality have seen her successfully take on roles such as Advertising Coordinator and Content Producer at Now Media, News Anchor at Talk Radio 702 as well as News Anchor on eNews Channel Africa (eNCA).!

Ayanda also excelled as a Producer and Presenter for SABC 2’s flagship breakfast show Morning Live. She engaged thought leaders as the Co-Anchor of Power Breakfast on Power FM and she inspired South Africans as the Host of television talk show Visionaries. ! !

Over and above her work in broadcasting, the multilingual 35-year-old, Soweto born mother is also a qualified Community Development Practitioner and Founder of Bukho Bami Youth Centre (an after school care project for teenagers in under-resourced communities). !

In her continued quest for excellence and to add knowledge to her passion for justice, nation building & social cohesion, Ayanda has embarked on a new academic endeavour and is now in the process of completing her Masters Degree in Policy Management and Public Administration.
