Warrick Ryan

Warrick Ryan began singing professionally at a young age, appearing in the opera Hansel and Gretel under Professor Werner Nel at age 9.
He was mentored during his former years by his grandfather Bill Steel, a renowned opera singer who performed on the famous stages of Paris, London and Barcelona.
Later Lloyd Peltier the lead singer of the band ‘Changing Face’ mentored him.  And Stephanie le Roux who went on to become a member of the highly acclaimed vocal group ‘Cut Glass,’ as well as landing a lead role in the play ‘Stuur Groete Aan Mannetjies Roux’ in 2011.
Ryan studied for his Music Artist Certificate under Avril Kinsey at the Cape Town Academy of Music and graduated with distinction, while also furthering his acting studies at ACT Cape Town under coaches such as Tamryn Speer, Nicola Hannekom, Grant Swanby and Denise Newman.
His performing career has taken him from the highlights of the Johannesburg music scene across South Africa to Durban, Potchefstroom, Parys and Cape Town. He has performed internationally in the Seychelles and France and been the opening act for such esteemed artists as Jessie Clegg, Zebra and Giraffe, The Greame Watkins Project, Jack Parow, Heuwels Fantasties and Jimmy Nevis.
He recently released his debut album ‘Through My Eyes‘ under the acclaimed producer Mark Beling, who has produced albums for such stars as Danny K, Patrizio, Steve Hofmeyer and Axene. The title track from his debut album ‘With Your Eyes’ is a “Ryan composition” which has subsequently been recorded live during the Walk4Wheels, Chaeli Campaign Charity Event and is featured on YouTube.
