Tuxedo

Based: Cape Town

As one of Cape Town’s busiest and liveliest bands, the members of Tuxedo believe the reasons for their success are simple: versatility, professionalism and their willingness to give the guests what they want to hear.

A six-piece band consisting of Stavro Michel on lead vocals and lead guitar, Sharon Clifton on lead vocals and guitar, Chris Harris on vocals and bass guitar, Peter Hunt on keyboards, Dan Shout  on sax, flute and percussion and Malcolm Cassisa on drums and percussion, the members of Tuxedo are all accomplished musicians who have played the South African circuit in a variety of successful bands.

Their specialty is corporate and wedding functions (both Christian and Jewish) and they are well known for their interpretation of traditional Jewish dancing. Their energy and enthusiasm, coupled with their own individual beat and sound, are guaranteed to get your guests up off their seats and dancing!

Tuxedo’s professionalism extends beyond their performance and includes the all-important briefing meeting with their clients, where every facet of the function is discussed. Over the years they have created a winning formula based on pace and timing, which is individually adapted to the important events of each occasion.¬† As an added bonus, band leader Stavro Michel can also be available as Master Of Ceremonies or Auctioneer for your event.

So whether you are in the mood for romantic light jazz, need a nostalgic trip down memory lane, or want your guests to boogie to the latest chart-toppers, TUXEDO is your band!
