FikileMoeti, aka ‘FIX’, made MTV history when she became the first female VJ on networks’ African music television channel.
The bright and bubbly 25-year-old beauty has graced our screens since 2006 when she won a nationwide competition to become MTV base’s newest VJ and the host of chart show, MTV base World Chart Express.
Fikile, at the time a student at Cape Town University, was picked from obscurity by MTV base from thousands of applicants and immediately joined the fast track into the limelight. After more than three years in the job Fix firmly established herself as an MTV presenter traveling all over Africa representing the channel. Various projects have taken her to Europe, Nigeria, Kenya, Mozambique, Angola and Tanzania.

‘MTV 5FM Total Request Live served by KFC’, Fix being the show’s ‘roving reporter’ and primary link to the ‘streets’, covering everything from events and launches to opinion pieces and interviews. Hosting
The Red Bull SoundClash 2009 (International event) is another favorite where she got to work closely with local artist from different music genres.
‘The Silent Chart Show’; a chart show hosted by Fix. (MTV Base). ‘The Road to MAMA Show 2009’ which Fix presented at the MTV Africa Music Awards in Kenya; interviewing the likes of Akon and Wycleff.
Nominated as a Spokesperson, Ambassador & Model for ‘The Levi Strauss CURVE ID campaign’ and ‘The Red for Life Campaign.’
The multi talented entertainer also joined the 5FM Jockeys, hosting her very own show ‘Your Friday Night Fix’ (that attracted the club DJs globally) between 10pm and 1am, ‘The Best of 5 with FIX’ every Sunday night between 10pm and 1am and ‘Pop Power Nights’ every Tuesday night between 10pm and 12am.
working with MTV US – in New York (MTV Staying Alive Foundation) where she produced and hosted HIV/AIDS activism online shows and is now part of a the Global Newscast for MTV Voices.
In 2012 5FM has welcomed back Fix, who returned to the station after a one-and-a-half year break in America to further her studies. Her show, The Saturday Nite Fix, will run on Saturdays, 10pm-1am.
She is also on air weekdays Monday- Friday from 9am 0 12pm on the Rob Forbes show.
