Cape Town’s gifted Adele Wyngaard, born in 1987, completed her Bachelor of Music Degree at the University of Cape Town in December 2011. In June 2010
she was awarded a scholarship to attend Europe’s prestigious Norwegian Academy of Music. This exposure to the international jazz environment served to profoundly influence Miss Wyngaard’s performance style and repertoire. Her many accomplishments include the following: performing for former first lady, Gracia Machel (2007); numerous performances for the Vice-Chancellor of
Cape Town (2007 – 2010); performances at Victoria Nasjonal Jazzscene and Literaturhuset (Oslo, 2011); and vocalist for the North Sea Big Band (Oslo, 2011).
Ms Wyngaard is presently an active member of the COMART Choir and Vocal Ensemble, a community organisation based in Elsies River that is run by John and Professor Virginia Davids. While furthering her post graduate studies, Miss Wyngaard is becoming increasingly sought after as a choir teacher and
continues to perform in and around Cape Town. Her vocal coaches include: Professor Virginia Davids (Head of Opera Studies at the University of Cape Town);
